Has anyone seen the film yet.

Thoroughly enjoyed it and would be interested to know how much was factually correct. Most of the filming was at B/Hand with some, I think, at Cadwell Park

Fundamental difference between the story depicted in the film and actual events is that Hunt and Lauda, a couple of short falling-outs aside, were very good friends.

An ex pupil of mine marshalls at Snetterton. He's seen 'Rush'. Shall see what he knows as he lives nearby, Attleborough.

I was lucky enough to see it before it was even realised as my work out us on a private screening, saw it again with the lady girl and its an incredible film, captures what people like me/us love about Motorsport/cars/f1 etc but you don't even need to be into Motorsport to love it!

Excellent film, even if you're not a motorsport fan (which the gf and I both are). The chap who played Lauda was excellent. There have been a few interesting interviews with Lauda himself about it. Brave of Ron Howard to make a film about such an iconic F1 period and then seek to get it reviewed by current F1 drivers and the drivers (inc Lauda) who were there at the time.

Turns out his elder bro was at the filming. Josh says Brands and snippets of Cadwell are in there too.

Saw this on preview at the NFT in London a few weeks back, they had Peter Morgan there for a Q&A afterwards - truly excellent if not always 100% factually correct.

It was good, but it didn't really 'stir the soul'. Apollo 13, which was another Howard film, certainly had the emotions going more than that did.

Brands, cadwell, snetterton, nurburgring were stand-ins for most of the circuits shown. I enjoyed the film. the story is better told by the BBC2 documentary they keep showing but it's a great film.
