OK - The S is not going to be option. Looking for a weekend car akin to the S.
Recommendations? A 996 is not an option.

 

Need some kind of narrowing of the options. Enzo? Toyota IQ? Caparo, E36 M3 cabrio. Lada?

 

Answering my own question - Boxster, Caymen, Lotus, Nissan, etc.
Good weekend cars that folks have moved onto and would recommend.

There's nothing like an S2000.

Others are faster, or slower, more expensive, or cheaper, more comfortable, or less comfortable.

Actually, the closest is probably an MX-5.

I've had 4 S2000s in the last 10 years and 20-odd other cars around and in between and to me there ain't any alternative. Cos I ain't found it and I've sure as hell looked! Hence why I'd like another S. Just p!sses me off that Honda let the 08/09 cars down quality/engineering-wise AND that they seem not to give a toss about making another sports car for us lot even half as good as good as the S any time in the near future.
