Sell up or Supercharge?
For what it costs to charge he s2k properly I decided not to ..... just wast worth it in my eyes . I was in the same place as you , going from wanting to supercharge to selling up . In the end I decided to keep the s2k and spend what it was going to cost to charge ( went over budget a tad ) on another fun car. This way I get to keep the little beauty that is the s2k for nice sunny days and blast around in a golf gti as well ..... oh and the golf is over 300bhp/330ftlb so it's pretty quick !
cheers for the input, the s2000 has been a car ive wanted for so long. I'm using it daily at the moment (450 miles a week). Supercharging would probably put an end to that and i would end up also buying something practical anyway to commute in. maybe i should just go for the m6 and have that as a weekend car and keep the s2000 for daily use
I'm having similar thoughts, but considering C63 AMG instead of BMW E63
I'd realistically need to sell the S2000 to fund it but keep coming back to the fact that I don't really want (or need) "mooar poweeer" and the roads today are so congested you have to get out at 5:30am on a Sunday to get to enjoy any car these days, so you just end up tying up more capital for about the same mediocre daily experience and then lose that opportunity for fun on those rare occasions the planets align and you have even slightly clear road ahead.
I think Si @ Hendy had one of the V10 BMWs after he sold his yellow SC S2000, might be worth asking for his view.
