It's the stigma
They are lovely cars to drive and all that, but it just seems that most of the uncourteous drivers are in German cars. Audi and Mercedes are getting to be just as bad as the BMW.

Sorry

)But when I'm in the Punto then BMW drivers just cut me up constantly.
Good review!
Yes, no S2000 replacement but I can see the appeal, even though I have my personal difficulties with it.
Juventino, it's the carpet-crawler petty-oneupmanship thing. I don't need to play those games (although watching a tailgating constipated-faced A4 understeer off a roundabout IS amusing!) It can be a PIA in the Civic, which looks very innocuous from the rear, like your Punto & suffers more as a consequence.

Bloody hell Fletch, you wont be having much choice the next time you buy a car. However I know what you are saying, I probably wouldnt buy a Merc or Jag because they are old peoples cars
nor a range rover as they are for drug dealers etc etc

I still don't really buy this BMW/Audi drivers business, I think people expect it so when there is an incident involving those makes of car they tend to stick in their head more.
I'm as guilty of it as anyone, I always notice badly driven Porsches on track days but I'm probably subconsciously looking for problems with them.

The BMW driver thing is a myth. Its an image created when BMWs were seen as a superior car and people who owned cheaper cars felt they needed to attack. A nob head driver is going to drive like a cock whether he is in a lada or a lambo. Its actually mainly on the s2k forum where I see it mentioned most

Like Ge says, it may be a case of looking for it, but I'm willing to bet that 50% of the cars I see during a week NOT indicating would be a BMW.

I dont hear many people saying ' those bl00dy veyron owners are complete twats'

I may see more shit driving in three series BMWs simply because there are soooo many of them on the road and it's just a case of averages.
