Hardly suprising really they were a complete bunch of t*ssers. From my dealings with them their service department was run by less than honest idiots. IMO, good ridance to them.

Agree on that. The Gatwick branch has long had a reputation for being complete cowboys. Friends of mine with Alfas have many horror stories of the cars coming back with more faults than they went in with.

Funnily enough I seriously considered a Brera S a couple of months ago - I could believe how the salesman virtually begged me to buy it - and dropped the price on a weeklybasis.

I wonder how much he'd take for it now !!

I should've suspected something.

I'm with you on that one Bramblecat. I used to take the beater there for servicing and on the last occasion they left the oil cap off the engine. I drove from picking the car up all the way to Birmingham before I realised there was a problem. It made the engine bay rather messy !

It comes as no real surprise that the business was being run poorly

The car industry is on its arse.

GM have ran out of cash.

Speaking to a non dealer mechanic, who is considerably cheaper than main dealers, trade is dropping off. Are people not servicing their cars
