Default SLK 55 Kleeman

If this is a proper Kleeman SLK then its an absolute steal at that price:

500BHP??

If its not a full on Kleeman then its still a good price for a SLK 55 AMG.

If you are not familiar with Kleeman and SLK's then read this:

I just did a insurance quote using the reg no. and for me just

I was looking a buying and SLK AMG and creating an S8!

However I doubt it is an S8.
Exhausts are wrong!

I called Kleeman UK to discuss it and they told me they only had one full Kleeman in the UK which was their demo.
There are how ever a few with added bits! (alloys and badge? )

The advert doesn't say it's a "Kleeman", just that it has 19" Kleeman alloys.

So I guess not

I saw one of those when I was looking for mine (badged kleeman but just had the alloys) - it was a bit more than that. I did a check with MB for service history, and they came back with much sucking of teeth using words like "dubious....."

Looks like a std car with Kleeman wheels and Kleeman badges to me.

Price is about right - SLK55 AMGs have performed very poorly residual-wise of late. Physically/engine-wise still undoubtedly a lot of class looking car for the dosh though.

The earlier cars all have a pretty p1ss-poor effort of a slush box.... I know. I had one for a while. Dunno if the newer 7G-Tronic on the later cars is much better or not.....

The engine is a blast: very sweet and free revving for such a big lump. Truth is... there's a LOT to like about the SLK55 AMG. I just couldn't accept the slush box on it. And that was enough for me to bin the car. So for me; no, it didn't.

The question is: is bigger always better??

The answer is: NO!!

Blah blah predictable S2000 enthusiast drivel maybe blah but the gearbox as (a large) part of the driving experience really IS of GREAT importance to me and the S has the best in the business.
