Despite the rough R series and the crude suspension.

Looks are everything, after all.

WTF do I know about designing cars? A lot less then Honda, that's for sure.

I'm off to do a course on superficiality & cynicism...

Isn't Sierra a Ford trademark?

The new civic is actually a bit of a hoot to drive

It is my second fav FWD car for handling. (first being the Ford Puma)

I can see this is gonna migrate into one of those ITR vs Corrado vs Prelude vs Elan debates!

I'm with the EK4/DC2 lobby!

Andy, I've driven the new one twice, 2 different courtesy cars neither of them would hold a straight line. The steering was really fidgety and the car kept bouncing around on the road I never felt confident with it at all was I just unlucky with these cars..?

(I do quite like the design and cabin though )

Just to clarify, I have only driven 3 FWD cars, I think the concept is crass

I thought the deisel was a bit lively, I put it down to the extra weight at the front, but Susans is very accurate. In fact on the right road, it's thoroughly entertaining

It does get very choppy on uneven surfaces, but thats more a honda thing in general

It can work, as the Puma & Prelude, etc, demonstrate.

But yes, it's done for cheapness mainly.

But the brakes in the puma....Jeezo!

I like a good engine, I like a nimble chassis, but nothing beats stopping when you really have to and the Puma just didn't.

Drums at the back, what were they thinking?
