Speed restrictors. .
Currently on about having a study into fitting them to bikes, but if that happens then I guess cars would follow?

Am I the only one who thinks they're using 'emissions' and 'the environment' to pass loads of rules that would otherwise be seen as turning this country into even more of a nanny state than it already is?
IIRC this has been under consideration for a while - bikes being easier to fit limiters to (not sure if from an engineering principal or just because there are far fewer sales than cars).
Helps that the legislature and executive are generally anti-bike of course.
IIRC the latest proposal is to force all bikes to be registered, even if not on the road or road legal - ie that classic you take to shows, that dirtbike you only use in a field, that race bike you have - sledgehammer to break the mini-moto problem nut.
Someone posted a link on the VFR forum of parliamentary select cttee meeting minutes where they were discussing issues about bikes - the ignorance and prejudice of quite senior people was astounding.

I'm suprised we've got this far without speed limiters being mandatory in both cars and bikes. The technology is pretty simple, and pleanty of cars and bikes already have them.
At the end of the day, it's hard to argue that stopping people from breaking the law is unfair. I'm not in favour of it obviously, but realistically it'll happen one day. I just hope they allow for a way to disable limits on trackdays or on certain unrestricted German toll roads.

This would def be the final nail in the coffin when it comes for me to decide if I want to open my business in the UK or Dubai.
At the rate this stupid government is going I'm surprised there hasnt been some sort of uprising. It's less money if I do business there but damnit I'll be a happy man and I can feel some freedom to think and act as I wish.
I'm to old to have a damn nanny!

I have a feeling that Labour won't be in power for much longer.

This is the problem with politics: they're all the same.

True if this keeps up the shit will eventualy hit the fan and all hell will break loose.
The problem is if they do keep increasing our taxes and spening that money and a revolt does take place all that stuff they started spending on will have to be halted.
Why on earth do they do this to everyone is beyond me, theres only so much we can take.
First I was in permanent employment and I got really really fed up of giving nearly 50% of my money to a government that doesnt give me much back in return, for gods sake I was even getting notes saying garbage pick up was going to be done every 2 weeks. The police havent helped my ass once whenever I've had an issue or something stolen but I understand we need them and I do feel safer with them.
But theres so much crap we pay for that we really shouldnt. Council flats for one. Why the hell should I work my ass off so some 16 year old girl can get pregnant and get a free house when I havent even bougt one for myself yet. WTF?
I can go on forver. Makes me wonder how I allways manage to stay happy, thinking about shit like this ruins my day now I need to go drive my S2K and polute the atmosphere so I can atleast feel I'm spending
