As James Hunt's t-shirt used to say ...

"Sex. Breakfast of Champions."

For motorsport, I'd say it's coolness under pressure, an intimate feel for the way the car behaves, determination, dedication and, to be truly special, the will to crash into people that don't actually deserve to beat you.

I miss Schuey so bad!

It is simply the will to win.

They want to win sooo badly, they will do ANYTHING to accomplish it!

Senna, Schumacher, Alonso - they just didn't care what they did, as long as it could gain them an advantage.

The same is true with what Hamilton did last week.

He wanted to to win, so he did as little as possible in order to confrom to the rule. He REALLY wnated the win, far more than Kimi!

You rang?

I realise it's tongue in cheek but feck it, I have a fake reputation to uphold

It's many things. And not a small part is luck, particularly with something like motorsport where the only way to get good is to have money. Lots of money. All it takes to enter the Le Mans 24 hr is minimal talent and a lot of money.
