A to B cars for A to B people and those who buy things on credit.

'enthusiast'.
Some people I know are very well off with huge houses etc and some
plain motor in their drive.
More to life and people than the car they choose.

I worked for one of those places when I lived in t' North.
They only sell (and therefore buy) very average and ordinary cars (mainly from auctions at fairly cheap prices) and sell them on to average ordinary purses that probably could not afford them without the credit they are offered. They don't realise that they probably cannot afford the credit either but nowadays everyone believe they are entitled to buy a car. Mind you often you cannot do without one, but I digress.
Those places make most of their money on the finance deals that come with it. They are not interested in more "interesting" car as it is a much narrower (and probably more switched on) market than the one they exploit.
Car supermarket is the oddest environment I have ever worked in. It feels all weird and I did not like it. It is a bit like a world of false smiles, pressurised and back stabbing with no respect for other individuals (customers or not). There is a feeling of everyone is there to get one up on you. Did my paranoia no good.

I feel the same when I go to my local Ford dealer for a service. This is one of the reason why I am now going to use a local garage as my Ford is out of guarantee.

selfs because they 'own' a different car to the masses.
How many on here own their car outright?
