I saw a mint '95 Corrado yesterday and was very very impressed. Figured I would take a look and discover most of them have been completely Molested (chav money huh).

Surely stretching the tyres like that can't be a good idea?

You've got to love FWD cars with wider tyres at the rear.

This is what happens when a car reaches under a grand in value.

Mainly non VR6's that get mollested. Mainly as a good VR6 will still command good money (i.e. you won't find a good VR6 for less than

I hate it when people stretch tyres like that. If nothing else it's looks so wrong and must damage the tyre walls, and I believe it's totally illegal.

I've always been a big Corrado fan, and would love to own a VR6 Storm at some point However your seeing less and less of them on the roads

I've always loved them.
Depends what environment you want to use it for but I'm lead to believe that apart from the traffic light drag strip it's the G60 that's the fastest. The VR6 lumps too heavy and tends to make the nose wash out in corners whan you're pushing on

Had a VR6 golf and I loved it until I blew the head gasket
I'd still like a VR6 Storm as a beater
Superb car!
Shame they are falling in to the wrong hands
That one on piston heads is just wrong!

The idea of putting a given tyre on a wider rim to improve steering response is a good one. Quite popular amongst Germans on their CRXs and Corrados.

Unfortunately, a little knowledge is a dangerous thing (which is why the world's such a dangerous place) and sound concepts are reduced ad absurdum. As in this case.
