I think someone on here went with them because the price was good but when they went to make a claim the service was very poor IIRC - there was a thread about it in the main UK forum..

My girlfriend claimed with them. You have to chase them all the way to get anything to happen. It did happen in the end, but it was a non fault claim for us. Hate to think what it would be like if it was a claim where you were at fault.

Found out that if both parties in the household are insured with Direct Line you can generate NCB as a named driver on the other policy. This is independant to the NCB you have on your own policy. The bonus is that you can get a second car then transfer the main NCB to the highest group car and claim your NCB from the named driver for your daily beater.
