I think I will be getting a nice little present in the post.

So frustrating as when I am making rapid progress (which is often the case) I am always switched on for fixed cameras, mobile cameras, marked and unmarked police cars.

But at lunch time today I was plodding along a 40mph limited two lane dual carriage way, switched off and ended up going past a camera van at something like 50-55mph.

After having a history of convictions and a ban I was looking forward to having a clean license having almost made it through 4 years without any convictions.

If by some stroke of luck I don't get anything in the post in the next 2 weeks, I shall be putting my

bad luck

picked up one myself in identical circumstances a little while back

at least you weren't really going for it, or it could have been a lot worse

Wait a little bit longer than the 2 weeks, they are allowed to account for postal delays

Was this up by Aerospace, Nick? I think I might have been done too - although I was doing about 45ish so I'm hoping I got away with it

That's the thing though. I am sure if I had been really going for it I would have been more switched on and noticed the camera van.

Moral of the story? If you are going to speed, do it properly!

To late now, but I use tomtom with the pocketgps scamera database, it has most of the mobile locations and just gives you a warning so that you can check your speed.

Just a thought...

they have 14 days to give you notice, pretty sure they send them registered. you would usually found out within a week tbh.
