The front isn't terrible but the back looks huge. I hate how big the civic has gotten. I want something the size of my EG again.

 

All cars are stupidly big these days, requiring room for side airbags in the doors and Obesabetics in the seats. It's why I question the 'hot hatch' description of anything bigger than a B-segment these days.

What usually happens is the top model fall off the range and a new one is slotted in at the bottom; The Civic will replace the Legand, once the Accord gets too big & is discontinued.

 

Strangely enough I was looking at an Accord at the dealers today (while waiting for my S2K) and thought the same - it's bloody massive, near 5 series size. I used to quite like them but doubt it would fit only drive now

Look at the dimensions of a Mondeo! No wonder they call it a 'global platform'!
