Default Teg Leaking Boot. Should I drill a hole?

I thought I'd sealed up the Teg boot, but the last few days rain has told me that it's leaking just as badly as ever - and now in places where it never used to leak . This is despite many hours of work sealing with PU adhesive to sort it out

The problem is that having sealed up a number of holes, the water is still getting in but having trouble getting out again and is sitting in large pools.

TBH I am so fed up with the problem that I'm really tempted to drill a hole in the boot where the water pools when sat on my sloping drive. That way at least the water can escape rather than make it's way to the rear carpets/seats etc.

What would you do?

No; you'll give yerself corrosion issues around the hole. OK if it's a last-ditch attempt.

What exactly is the problem?

I take it you've eliminated sunroof drainage pipe blockages, unsealed side windows and the problem is corrosion around the tailgate? Or those pesky Honda rear wheelarches?

...Or are you parking it nose-down and like the BB8 Prelude, the deck is too flat and the water won't drain out of the side channels and overflows the boot rubber when you open it?

Coming in on both rear wheelarches and at the back where I've sealed already. It could also be coming through the drain holes.

It's been repaired at the back before and the seam sealer they used was shit and all cracked.

So far I've replaced both light gaskets, and removed the rear bumper and sealed every seam I can see with Tiger seal. It's still coming in, and while that isn't a problem in the summer, it will be a problem this winter.

It's not bad when parked, this is when driving on sodden roads it comes up through the seams

You could try stripping the rear side & boot trims and drowning the wheelarch seams with Waxoyl.

Where it drips out on your drive is where the hole is!

Since it's a Teg, the only solution is to let in new metal.

Anything else'd be PX'd for a Hyundai Lalala.

Doesn't matter Ade, it's worth more to a breakers than it is as a car now. I won't sell it until it dies though
