remind me again what makes the ac so special?
it was either something special about how it was made, or the company that built it...

once you've got it built, anychance of a soundtrack and maybe a video'd test drive?

i think 0 to 100mph in about 8 seconds in the '60's was not very common

450 bhp in something that weighs 1000ish kilo's

the 427 was also known as the Killer Cobra as quite a few people Killed themselves in these cars

hopefully i can get around 600bhp and it still be user friendly
I changed my mind the 427 is an animal I would kill myself!

The last time I put the Tiger on a dyno it had about 240 at the wheel's but the torque gives it a real punch and to 100 mph it would give a lot of modern stuff a fright.

Can a 289 Cobra be that much better than a tuned 289 Tiger to justify the price?

Saw a gorgeous 289 a couple of weeks ago. It was in that light blue colour they do. Thoroughly upstanding chap just happened to stop at the same cafe I did. Spotted my Dax and sat at my table. We got chatting and he was a really nice guy. Spent his time spanking the 289 around a track etc which is definitely the way to go He had had a 427 but killed it apparently. He was much happier with the 289 because the whole package was easier to exploit on the road and the track. Only had my mobile with me so I didn't take any pictures sadly. Sensational car to look at though...
