Default Thieving Chavs

Some theiving git stole the mother in laws aerial today, in asda carpark. Fortunatly some very nice person left the numberplate of the thief.
Just wondering if some one can tell me who the plate is registered to ( P882 5AH) sorry its (P882 SAH). I just want to retrieve the aerial and let the culprit know i am returning it to the owner.

You can easily get it yourself for a nominal fee.

Just phone em up and tell them it's been dumped on private land and you need to contact the owner before getting it towed.

would the DVLA be under any obligation to tell you who your details had been sent to

under DP legislation or any other?

Not under Data Protection they wouldn't. You could make a request under the Freedom of Information Act though.
