Are things looking up for Honda?
It is indeed.
Unfortunately it will be a few more years before things are really looking up for Honda, mostly due to interminable delays in the new product cadence; Even Jizz & Harvey are handicapped by out of date powertrains etc, etc.
So unless you are truly in the market for a HondaJet or an Acura NSX (no, they've not even managed to sort out the ridiculous branding dissonance), there's only really Bagpuss TypeR which might garner any real interest.

Nothing of interest in bike world either. The Fireblade is 7 years old as is the CBR600RR. At least the blade has had a refresh, but apart from some new fairings, the CBR600RR is the same, but only less powerful due to a noise issue. The new VFR800 was the same engine and chassis.
They aren't bad bikes at all by the way, but BMW/Yamaha/Kawasaki/Suzuki are ahead in terms of product development.
Fitting the the F1 cars were blowing fire out the back end....

Power of dreams, i honestly dont see them doing much in the way of that now its all just catch up with other manufacturers.
When i went Japan and the Honda collection hall, they had the moto imprinted on a glass between a piston ring.

With the brightest engineers defecting to other better-paid jobs, the balance may have tilted too far against them and they could be playing Ketchup for the foreseeable.
Every business has its zenith and its nadir; I think Honda's engineering zenith has passed now and it's just another mid-sized player.

I think Honda's got a great future - just no longer as interesting or as plucky as it once was.
Increasingly successful as a US domestic and of decreasing relevance in EU, unfortunately. The days of bonkersness are probably passed.

Honda keeps shooting itself in the foot by launching vehicles which are criticised for rough, underpowered engines - Jazz, HR-V et al. The RLX Hybrid went on sale for a year, disappeared off-sale for over a year leaving only a stupid FWD big barge version, is now back on sale, etc. That's ruined its image (as does a design which makes my Leg End look like an XbloodyF by comparison) and it's now unsaleable, despite its few buyers actually raving about how good the hybrid eSHAWD/Krell sound system/ride etc, is.
The new powertrain stuff's still being Beta-tested on Japanese customers (L15 Turbo, DC-pause-DC-crunch-DC-DCTs etc) so won't be ready to come here until the next Civic at earliest.
NSX has been delayed again and that means the S2000 (or whatever the NSX-lite is) are pushed back too.
Yet the N-Box, N-One, S660 in JDM, Brio in ASEAN, Accord and various SUVs in the US are really big hits.
It's a bit like that "Free beer tomorrow" sign you see in pubs.
