Great , now we need one of an F20c rebuild , fat chance

I was wondering as it went along what it cam from, kept thinking BMC A series because of the green under the shite, but then there it was a Triumph

That confused me too - because the A-series had siamesed ports I knew it was wrong. The Stromberg carbs should have given it away, but that made me think of the Volvo B, but that was clearly even wrongerer because it's too small & wrong-handed.

Those carbs are SU carburettors, not strombergs.

I've done that restoration, albeit on a single stromberg carburettored herald engine.

Recognised the engine straight away Chippo; my 1st car was a 1972 Mk4 spitfire in Saffron Yellow (happy memories)
