How does it compare to the DCT in your M, Mark?

The Aston ASM3 box is derived from the Ferrari 360 F1 box, it is an automated manual made by Graziano
In ASM3 format it is a LOT better with shifting but still benefits from a slight throttle lift on upshifts
I liked the ASM2 box I had, until it overheated and lunched the crown wheel

Not a patch on MB's Aston! but the M3 DCT took me to Leeds and back yesterday 400 miles effortlessly in the rain that sadly fell on me all the way up / back on the A1 (M) not Headingley so we got there at 5.30pm for the match that ended and came back home. Mind you, some browny points with SWMBO returning same day so a day gardening today

And the good news is that prices in these are in the rise, which I predicted Not that I'm looking, and would t be fussed if they went down.

Service went well yesterday. £785 which was a few pounds off the fixed service menu price. Has 2 warranty jobs to do, slight leak from the front engine cover and the air con compressor has some corrosion on it. All FOC which is good.

Cheers Andy

Nottm, yep it's not like the plugs or anything were done (they are £270!). It does have an 11 litre engine oil capacity though so that costs!

Quite difficult to explain the difference there other than a few litres of oil!

In my case I have no gripes on the cost tbh. Its 4 hours labour, oil brake fluid, pollen filters and a few other bits but lots of checks. It's not cheap but then it's a supercar and with menu price servicing you do go in eyes open.

430 manifolds are a service item on the older cars as they keep cracking
