Default Tool Cabinets

I've started looking at various tool cabinets such as Halfords, Clark and Sealet

Does any one have an experience of the US pro range such these http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item...obalID=EBAY-GB

I saw halfords had their basic unit down to £75 so I've ordered that - should be fine as I really only need it for storing everything in one place

Halfords frequently have a sale on for their tool chests and cabinets. http://www.halfords.com/motoring-tra...offprofstorage

Well worth keeping an eye out for one of their better offers.

+1 for the Halfords Black ones.

Wouldn't touch their standard ones with a 50' pole, having had them before. Their top of the range reds are OK too, more or less on a par with the good CLarke ones from Machine Mart. The H black ones thought are a bit ahead in terms of build quality.

Current stack in the garage is the Halfords red base unit (2 or 3 drawers plus big up n over to store jacks, axle stands, pullers etc in) with the biggest Halfords black top box.

Previous ones were the Clarke 2 drawer step up and the big red Halfords one. These suffered a fall off the current bottom box due to a sloping floor in a unit I was working in. Top box was closed and fell backwards. Pushed the lid forwards and mashed up the locking bars. Had to cut it open. The step up got a kink in it, but after I took it apart, I straightened it out and spot welded it back together. These two are now bolted to the bench/wall at the end of by bench, because although they are useful drawrs, they are no longer robust enough to wheel about.

Also have two of the largest size boxes with top carry handles, one each Halfords and Clarke. Both now being used for hobby stuff (one radio controlled models, one dive kit spares and tools.

+1 Halford Black.

Got mine a few years back on a Christmas day special for both units. Great quality.

I have one of these that I bought from Halfords about 7 months ago. Decent amount of storage space and build quality is good (sturdy with roller ball drawers). Not sure I'd of paid the apparent full price for it (£250) but for £120 you can't go wrong.

Keep an eye out for a snap on roll cab- I have a couple 52” ones with butcher block tops. They are ££££ new but lots appear second hand and make excellent portable worktops as well as tool boxes!
