I don't think it works like that anymore..

don't they outsource all the production costs.. and since the show gets 300+million viewers worldwide, it is probably a good money spinner for the beeb.

about the Brabus - what was the point in that car. VW have proved that you can deliver 1000bhp to the road, Brabus you failed to deliver 700+.

Number of cars sold for Brabus pre-TG = some I guess.

Number of UK orders now = feck all

But I'd say people don't buy the Brabus cars for the performance, they buy them for the exclusivity and to make a subtle point that they can afford to buy them and be different.

That is certainly the case for the people I know who have them.

I reckon the Brabus would be at home in Germany. It's probably not even considered that anyone outside there would buy one, unless they were just looking for a toy or some exclusivity.

i have to say i thought this episode was a bit lacking. But then that was in comparison to the last one which was the best top gear ever!
