Not quite the same but just bought a new place and a double garage was a must, so I'm very chuffed

Planning to pimp the garage a bit so need ideas.

Looking at some interlocking rubber tiles for the floor and some black cabinets. Has anyone done their floor? Seems to be about £30 per sq m, and mine is about 32 so it's not cheap.

Only cabinets I can find which look good are Dura, which are prob a bit flash for my needs. Any good alternatives?

Will get some nice racing pics up on the wall too.

2600 sq feet of space and a lot of that is outside for car space!!

Check out http://www.garagepride.co.uk/ for garage inspiration.

You need to get the driveway coated and printed with some funky circles etc:

I've fitted the rubber interlocking tiles loads of times, easy to fit, just use a rubber mallet to lock em together,I would recommend using a fresh knife blade per cut,as the thicker tiles can be twats to cut.

I did mine a couple of years back - still looks great and no issues with any of the tiles lifting or separating. The V12 exhaust/cats did cause some of the tiles to deform so just dropped in some metal plate.

I was that impressed with how easy they are to fit and how much better they make the floor look and feel that I did a couple of garden outbuildings with them too.

I just installed office document storage cupboards. The dura garage stuff is bloody expensive. Those and a decent tool box (one of those rolling boxes)

You could use epoxy on the floor, that's my plan as I tinker with my cars in there

Paint the walls and do the electrics before anything else. I chose not to paint and it was a duff call , quite dusty

Cabinet wise you just use 2nd hand kitchen units and save thousands.

Granted, doesn't look as cool, but then that's the difference between working on your cars and posting photos on an internet forum

The problem with tiles is the oil works it's way through the gaps so it's a waste of time.

One thing I would recommend spending your money on is the door. I need an insulated door but that'll cost a couple of grand.
