Ah yes, saw this couple months back. The guy is an absolutely dingle berry. On the video (I haven't seen it in a while so can't remember exactly) you can see the marshals trying to stop him. It wasn't an accident though, he was being an ar5e. Think he has also been done for kidnap as well because the girl in the passenger seat was obviously distressed about the thought of going on track so she was taken against her will.

 

8 months in prison - i think? Needs his license removing for 2 years too and a retest.

 

Unbelievable. I thought it was a wind up or publicity stunt when I first saw the video with the commentary. I've since seen the in car footage and it's just such a idiotic thing to do. I can't compute what made them think it was clever or even entertaining.

 

They can't touch his license because he was not on the public road.

Yes, they guy is a moron. I'm sure there will be a book deal, tv appearences, magazine articles after he gets out. Probably a couple of hundred thou if he plays his cards right.
