Had one thinking he was special on the way home from work late night. Trying to provoke a race in traffic. Also i new Civic TR trying to kiss my pipe.

Maybe people get upset with me driving home with the top down. It is freezing after all.

 

I hate anything by Vauxhall, nearly as much as I do people who post in the wrong forum.

Perfect observation on Vectra owners..... came across a real fool in a 07 reg one this morning.

Around here I assume they are hire car delivery drivers because we are close to Gatwick.

I can't believe anyone would actually choose to drive one.

 

It's funny how certain cars get noticed more than others when they are driven badly

I suspect it's partly because Vectra's have been used as a rep-mobile by so many firms, that they are driven with little or no care. I think the same could be said about the BMW 3 series as well.

IME, Vectras are all old and driven by old people in the manner one would expect.

I also have to defend BMW drivers; I've noticed a disproportionate amount seem to be well-driven and indicate correctly. I have two possible theories about this:

1. The reputation is rubbing off on owners and they've been embarrassed into improving.

2. The cars are such that only their mothers, or true drivers could live with the styling; all the meat-heads have thus migrated to Audi.

O/T, the Vectra is henceforth going to be named after down-market toiletries from the 1980s, which is perhaps appropriate.

 

A mature unemotional considered reply, ignoring the cliche ridden tendency to generalise & stereotype drivers v cars.
Note the word 'generalise', for there is evidence that SOME BMW drivers are arrogant, Volvo drivers old plodders, Mondeo drivers are all Reggie Reps, Rover drivers all smoke pipes, & van drivers are yobs.
But there are exceptions, it's just that many choose to ignore them in order to substantiate & justify their biased views.

Much is based on snobbery & jealousy at which this country excels. Sadly one is judged by the car you drive, the size of your house, the most obscure destinations chosen for holidays, & a pretentious job title.
