I was told that the frame had arrived before Christmas and heard yesterday that they had started the build the day before so I thought I had better get down and see what was going on.
Arriving in Crewkerne today I was given a good cup of coffee and taken into the assembly area where I was met by this:

I chose the blue for the chassis as I wanted to create a link to the colour scheme of the two BMW HP bikes I have:

The colour being powdercoat isn't an exact match but it's the closest we could come up with. The wheels will be the same blue:

and the panels i.e. the airbox cover and the bonnet, will be white, and the mudguards will be Carbon Fibre. I think the colour combination should work well but only time will tell.
The car is being built by Kelvin. One man builds each car. There is no set schedule for the order in which parts are added so if the builder decides he'd rather do some other bit on a given day there's nothing to stop him subject to the fact that some components have to be added before others. So the brake lines are in and he'd started work on installing the wiring loom. Most of the pedal box had been installed and the main fuse box plus the suspension components at each corner.
Some more photos:

Two views of the steering column/wheel - you can see part of the loom hanging down.

The electrical bit

The pedals

Nearside rear hub - this is fitted for the Alcon big brake kit - here's an example from the car next door:

The front end:

The engine bay:

The fuel tank sits towards the front of the bay low down. Here's a tank:

The steering rack:

The rear of the frame with the spec sheet attached:

I left another camera with Kelvin with instructions to take more photos rather than less so I'll probably go down next week to retrieve them and post them here in due course.
The car should be ready for collection by early March.

Bit confused why they wouldn't putt he lower spherical joints in the correct rotation - they have with the upper one. TBF, it is a common occurrence on kit cars.
