Cappucino?

(no, I'm not asking you out for coffee)
Surely you couldn't fit a saddle in one? I assume it's a horse/pony saddle and not a cat one?

We've just had a chat about it Probably 50/50, but main concerns are reliability and not too high insurance (she is under 25), but still fun.
Well, saying that i'd have to stick with the MX-5 then.I've driven a friends '03 and i thought it was great fun,not a great deal of power but handles great and she's never had a single problem with it.Kate's only 22 so the insurance must be reasonable as well.

Like the MR2 but you need to be able to fit a saddle in it - no good for that unfortunately.
If it has to be practical it has to be an MX5 then.

I test drove cars like these a few years ago for a friend. The MX2 is the better car from a pure driving POV, but totally impractical. The MX5 is still nice to drive, and of course has a boot. She bought an MX5 for similar reasons.

Other suggestions are likely to be too left-field for anyone other than an enthusuast, or too naff like a Tigra

You've all pretty much gone where I suggested with the MX5. So now I just need to have a hunt for her

7k is bang on MX-5 money.

Audi TT's, S2000's and Boxsters are all a bit more

Nothing wrong with the Figaro.

They don't really offer the fun-factor that I expect she's wanting though, if she likes your S so much. Nor does the 206cc, or the Copen, or the Cappuccino, etc. etc.

MX5 it is then.
