Have you thought of buying a diesel and running in on veggie oil?

Tax rules have changed for veggie oil powered cars, you don't need to tell HM customs until you go over 2500 litres a year which for a 50mpg car which is something like 24k miles (ish)

no I won't be going to that extreme. When I say economical I mean 35 MPG say

I have a Focus. Owned it for 3 years now and it's been a great car and taken some heavy abuse. Needs washing as there is now moss growing on it. However it is very reliable and a good spec.

As has already been mentioned it was more expensive than the Mondeo equivalent as apparently it's more desirable.

Insurance is cheap too 1.8 Zetec is group 5 I think, my insurance is about
