what car? - ideas please
Hi All,
Its been a while and much has passed since ive been here last, but fortune has been good to me and I now find myself in the arena for a new car. I now live back in central london in St Johns wood, so I have no *real* need for a car but it does mean that it doesnt have to be particuarly practical, but enough for overnight baggage would be nice. However it will be parked on street, so any self work is ruled out as is any car without a roof of some description.
A car that I could occasionally take to the track and is rewarding as a drivers car would be ideal.
Budget is upto 25k
Cars Ive been thinking about..
911 996 c4s coupe or cabrio
Boxster S supercharged
s2000 tts supercharged
lotus exige S
Any thoughts or suggestions are are most welcome....
Thanks
Dave

BMW Z4M coupe.
I had a similar dilemma and someone suggest the above. I ended up buying one and really like it.
Suspension is very firm and the gearbox is not as good as the S, but the engine is an absolute peach and the handling is very confidence inspiring.
I decided that i wouldn't track it, but then ended up at Donington 4 days later. It was the fastest car on the track, radical type race cars excepted.

If you're considering an Exige S I'd also take a look at the Elise SC.
Unless you're going to be on track every weekend the SC would make a lot more sense.
I've had mine for just over a year now and I'm very happy with it.
