My girlfriend has been away for the past 2 months so i have been using her car as it is cheap on fuel etc etc
Today i was driving along and a stone hit the windscreen now here's the problem her policy does not have windscreen cover
whats the best way to get this fixed at a reasonable price the car is rather rare it's a mitsubishi i-Car I'm struggling to find service parts for it let alone a windscreen

Just try phoning all of your local windscreen companies, not the big boys who want to charge the rates they charge insurance companies. Some years ago this happened to me and was quoted £400 for a very simple screen on an old Citreon, A local company came in @£70 , and 2 others were around the £100 mark, the one fitted was an Original Citroen one.
Oh I did have to go to their yard for the fitting, no big chore really.

Hi Brian,
This is the guy that Norton Way use & he does a good job;
Dean's Screens
Biggleswade
Bedfordshire
SG18 8DX
Tel: 01767 600967
He should be able to sort you out for a decent price.
He also does an excellent job, as opposed to the ones who cover your car in mastic & play glass frisbees with the new bit so it fits where it lands.

thanks for the replies
I will check my options i was thinking of adding windscreen cover and sitting on it for a month or so
but i will also check out the price of a new screen.
only trouble is the crack keeps growing and growing
