Default Z4 M Coupe

Just finished a long road test (about 1000 miles on road and track) of the new Z4 M Coupe in Interlagos Blue with cream leather, thought it might be worth putting up a few impressions here (sorry, there will be NO pics as we have a strict copyright rule on pictures being released to the public before we put them into print... but you all know what the new M Coupe looks like!!! )

My overall impression of the car is that it is absolutely brilliant. When I come to replace my S2000 (which will be within the next 18 months), BMW M cars figure highly on my list. When I saw the press images of the M Coupe it immediately leapt into my top three of possible replacement cars, even at

What's the warranty costs like on a CSL? I'd give a CSL serious thought.

Excellent review

I love the Z4 M Coupe!

As much as I love the M3 CS, I still look at it as a regular common as muck 3 series. The problem with the M3 is how popular it is. You buy an amazing car like the M3 CS, and no-one bats and eyelid at it.

Buy a Z4 M Coupe and heads will turn. I don't really do subtle, so I think the Z4 M would suit me more.

Was it the car from Goodwood ?
Looks very nice in the flesh I must say.
Very good writeup.

Chilled - CSL servicing is not much different to the normal M3. Although the interval would be less. Local dealer reckons about 6-7k between services on a well used CSL

The servicing costs put me off I have to admit. All the guys at work ripped the p*ss at Goodwood when it was going up that it was my car and I should have bought one of them instead, made worse by the fact my car had just been trailed to get fixed. Swines.
