Okay, I know you guys are always kidding around and sometimes I can't tell what's serious and what's not, but, seriously, CAN a Ridgeline tow an S on a trailer?

I'm sceptical of "towing capacity" numbers. Its not like the drive train explodes at 5,001 lbs. There's a progression of strain on the drive train that leaves the tranny fried even before the maximum capacity is met.

Don't ask me how I know these things.

I'm skeptical too, that's why I asked. It's always better to connect with someone who's "been there, done that." We have a Ridgeline, and obviously an S, and are thinking about buying a trailer. I don't want to put the money out until I know for sure that we wouldn't burn up the transmission hauling the hot rod. Our last truck was a Ford F-350 with a towing package. We really like the Ridgeline but aren't sure how tough it is.

It's pretty light to stop 3,000+ lbs of car and trailer going 70 mph.
