Default Another Columbia, SC s2k

Just thought I'd let the carolina's know that I now have a 03' Berlina Black S2k, maybe there are some member from Columbia that might have a few suggestions for me. Actually had it for about a month now and I think it was a great car to get. Runs nice, and just the 9k redline.

Welcome to the board and congrats on the Berlina! I'm in Columbia, as is Gringo and a few other less-regulars. Maybe we should have a Columbia meet some day...

Go Cocks!

Thanks for the welcome, I also go to USC, Columbia, seen two different silvers there, believe one is a 2000, or 2001, has the plastic rear window, then there is another that has an exhaust and wheels I believe.

Yeah, welcome to Columbia. I'm nightschooling at USC and keep the s2000 as far from campus parking as possible!

Football usually comes first for me too, but the SEC has been brutal this year and I have a couple of VCRs to capture all the games so I can watch the good ones late at night.

My only suggestion is to join the Autocrossing crowd. There are not really any entertaining roads in the Columbia area that I have found, and speeding tickets are easy to come by on our highways. There is an AutoX school in Laurinburg, NC on Saturday, though there is now a waiting list. It sounds pretty informal, and it is cheap. There is an autocross the day after on Sunday, but there is one closer to us in Greer, SC on Sunday that I hope to attend as well.

If you think you would like to do either, let me know and we can start a caravan.

G.

Thanks for the welcome. Gringo, the autox sounds fun, but my time is really tight lately, I am in the National Guard and I also do the ROTC thing at USC. I am also studying Mechanical Enginnering at USC, and those three things usually take up most of my time. I might be able to go to a few meets if I could do that, but I usually only have one weekend a month to myself. Are these autox every weekend? If so let me know, I may be able to get out there, atleast to watch.

USC PARKING REALLY SUCKS!!! Already have a ding to add to two others that were there when I bought the car. And it stand out so much on a berlina. Just have to take parking as I see it, and deal with the a$$holes who dont know how to open a door.

Mechanical Engineering, huh? Sounds like you have a berlina black class project. Let me know when you need help with installing the upgrades.

Check out the thread at the top of the Carolinas page for Autocross dates.
