How could this have happened so fast? Just under a year ago, my beloved Huskers were playing for the National championship (granted it was a slim chance) and now, after 21 years in the top 25 they are gone. Their worst loss to Iowa State since 1894.

My weekends are not the same anymore, no more running to the TV every time I hear the ESPN 15 min. update jingle- secretly wishing the downfall of those ranked ahead of us, no more Monday morning boasting. Though, I will still hang my flag outside of the house, and proudly drive my S2000 with her HUSKRGRL tag and Nebraska Huskers alumni license plate frame, chanting "its a rebuilding year" no longer brings me comfort.

What am I to do when the Bowl games start?

Just write off this season and look forward to the next. In the meantime,
