Thumbs up Anyone here have electrical soldering exp?

I need to resolder some wires for my DEI 530T for my automatic windows - is anyone in the Carolinas good with a soldering iron on electronics? I'm hesitant to do it myself and drip solder everywhere...

I can do it for you Matt, but I'm in Raleigh. Let me know, I can leave early for work and stop by your place. I have a soldering iron, solder, shrink tubing, and a heat gun. I work this weekend, so Sat. or Sun. would work before 6pm.

As long as you have an extension cord and electical outlet.

Ha, I do - I need to get the resistors though.... I'll be around Sat morning, and then I think I'll be in Raleigh on Sunday...

Fyi, this is what I'm looking to do - http://www.p71interceptor.com/window...echtip1900.pdf

i can also help you with it. I could probably take a look at how they are installed now and get them to work properly. w/o needing to resolder anything

Hmm, this may be a good first step - the issue is that no matter how I try, I can't get the one-touch windows to go all the way up - they stop about 1 inch short of the top on a good day, or sometimes half way up.

I will be in Raleigh on Sunday, should I just swing by Cicruit City, Ken? Also, do you still have that airbox cover?

Its in my driver's side kick panel. Now that I think about it - the passenger door window control doesn't work either - i think that wire was cut wrong during the install.
