just wondering if any of y'all are in asheville, lot of good riding up here and usually have to fly solo, just wondering if anyone else is up here, i see a few s2k's up here but not many

 

i got friends up there that drive E46 M3's. i'll actually be up there tomorrow hangin out with em.

 

cool, your not so far from here, your car is a beaut by the way, enjoy the ride. havent had a chance to run up against an m3 yet but i did have a boxter want to pull one out, just got a speeding ticket so i was light footed. anyway enjoy your trip. gotta work tomorrow but maybe another day. drive safe

where in asheville to you like to run? I used to live in asheville and wish i could drive there more often.

 

there is a short run in fairview, a new place off riverside i just found out about today, and the parkway is always promising. federal land they can only give you a fine for speeding, nothing on your driving record. funny . huh.

 

Yeah the parkway is great. Though its a bit more of a highspeed run. Townmountain road is fun too and it links off the parkway. There are alot of roads which Come OFF the parkway which are great.

Next time I plan to head to asheville I'll shoot you a PM and we should get a few S2kers together and do some late night runs.

 

man last time we did a late night run in asheville, i was in my buddy's ferrari f355 gts, and we had a 348 challenge car, a boxster, and a lotus esprit. we went screaming up the parkway then the radar detector went off like crazy and right when we crested the hill, 3 troopers sitting there in complete darkness pointing a radar gun. i know they heard us, you couldn't not hear us, but damn did it give us a scare. that is the only time i've ever seen cops in asheville tho, every other time there is nobody and you can just freaking fly through there, specially on hendersonville hwy i think it is

When I was @ the WTD event last year. We had a group of 8 s2000s and two lotus elises. With me leading the pack and the two lotus and another two s2000s in close chase I blew past a cop on a narrow road @ about 85 mph.

We radioed back to the slower group of s2ks which then creeped past the cop @ the speedlimit. The cop wasnt able to turn around until they past and he ended up following the slower group for like 25 mins until he gave up and turned around.

You should have seen the face of the last guy in line. White as can be.
