ATTN GamecockS2k!

I'm already back home... otherwise, I might've joined ya for the drive. It's been an emotional week in Gamecock town with all the coach talk, etc. It certainly was a disappointing game for fans, players, and unfortunately Lou Holtz. I am ready to move on as much as anyone else, but the way Lou has been treated the past couple of weeks is really sad. He's done a lot of amazing things and is certainly a college football legend.
Now, speaking of legends... we'v got another one coming! Hopefully he can take things to the next level... You just wait till next year!

PS - Go BLUE DEVILS!!! I mean, really...
spurrier is a god send. im not really a big usc fan, but i hate clemson
holtz was a good coach...to a point. his son was a horrid OC. usc's always had a good defense...if only they could develop a QB, OL, and some WRs lol

Yeah, Lou's class will certainly be missed. Before every game our players would walk into the stadium in suit and tie. All that cleaning up for a 30 second walk from bus to stadium tells a lot about the older ball coach that I'm certainly proud to say was a Gamecock. He's a stand up guy and an incredible motivator.
I know I'll miss watching him and reading what he has to say. That being said, I can't say I'm not a little excited about Steve Spurrier. He may be a cocky, rub it in your face kinda coach, but let's face it, sports are all about competition and being the best. If there's anything that Gamecock fans need right now, it's a coach who isn't happy with just playing a good game. We need a coach that is only happy with winning championships. I've traveled all over the SEC and into several ACC schools as well, and you'd be hard pressed to convince me that there are better fans than Gamecock fans out there. We deserve more than 33-37 in 6 years. Lou has has graciously taken the blame for the sour years we've had lately and I am proud of him for that. He's done wonders for this school outside of that 33-37 record and believe me, we're thankful for that. Now we're ready to win big games... So, bring on the visor!

what did spurrier do that lacks class at UF? as for the shirt and ties, everyone does that. even the miami hurricanes. i will say, making teammates be roommates was a great idea, but that is also done at the majority of the top schools. in the end, i'll always say the best motivator is winning. going "aww you did your best" should be left for the soccer moms

He may have won a few but he has no class whatsoever.
