Best Intake?
Anybody use the ARC induction box? I have been considering one but I have heard mix opinions on it. Some say it gets to hot others say to much room. I also thought about ITB's but after researching it the price is not worth the output. Anyone using them?
ARC is a giant heat soaking mechanism. Its balla as shit but isn't good for power. ITB's are expensive as hell and not good for DD. Hard to tune and keep tuned cause of changes in temp and elevation.
Best 3 intakes are the K&N FIPK, AEM V2, and Fujita F5.

I haven't noticed any heat soak problems with my ARC intake. I have both the induction box and intake chamber. However, as stated above, it isn't that great for power gains. If I was in the market for a new intake, I'd go for the PW JDM carbon/kevlar intake.
Yea I forgot about the PW jdm intake. Its more pricey than the other ones I mentioned but it does give gains from what everyone says. I remember somewhere that somebody dyno tested the K&N FIPK and it gained 4.8 hp over stock. Both runs had almost identical temperatures and it was on the same day.
A MODDED STOCK BOX WITH K&N FILTER WILL GIVE 6 TO7 HP, DYNO PROVEN. I HAVE DYNO GRAPHS TO SHOW IT. SO IF ANY GIVES YOU THAT OR MORE, THAN IT MIGHT BE WORTH IT, OTHERWISE ITS JUST FOR LOOKS! I DYNOED BEFORE & AFTER THIS MOD TO SEE IF IT WORKS.

Any power gains under 10hp or so can be due to the dyno. Such minimal power gains is very hard to justify. Intake=good sound and that is about it. All the NA time attack cars that I have seen in videos all have the factory air box. IF you are getting an intake for power I find it hard to justify. But they change the sound of the car, in a very good way. ARC=bling points!
