Best Track Weekend at CMP
Not sure if you know or asked, but do they require you to drive top-up? We always go top-down when we autox there, but we had one that was run by CMP management and they tried to make us all run top-up saying it was a course regulation. I don't enjoy top-up because my helmet strikes the soft top frame constantly.
I'm not sure, so I will ask just to clarify, but I always run top up, even though I constantly bang my helmet on the top frame. It is my understanding that Honda only tested rollover protection with the top up, and I don't have a rollcage. I know some events allow the top down at CMP, but I still ran top up.

"We leave it at the discretion of the instructor and the student based on noise impact on effective communication between them. We, however, prefer top down for safety reasons."

I couldn't have said it any better.
