Default Blew my engine -_-

Yea, so, mis-shifting is a really bad thing, it causes your rod to snap in half. After that rod snaps in half it just -might- blow a hole in your engine block and oilpan. I'm not speaking from experience or anything...no... never that... *sighs* So currently removing the head to make sure theres no damage to it, then I'll be ordering a new short block. Its definatly been different working on my honda as the only other engine I've ever taken apart/put back together was on a 65 Mustang. I miss the massive amounts of room I had taking apart that 289 0.o Anyhoo, just thought I'd post and share my pain.

That sucks. I didn't have any particular fun pulling mine out either -- but at least I was able to replace all the bearings and put it back together.

Sorry to hear of your misfortune, however, if it means anything, engines-are-engines, and they pretty much go together the same.

Good luck!

Get yourself a 2.2 block! Might as well get an upgrade out of the misfortune

That's a shame about the motor, but like everyone said, GL and keep us posted!

GrandMasterKhan, can you post a link to the J's Racing F20 swap?

www.A&Jracing.com has the J's racing motor, 10,900, and no core required!
