Default Blue Ridge Run on May 18th

Hi All,

I am going to try and get another Blue Ridge Run for Saturday, May 18th. We did the same run last year and it was a lot of fun. We hit the Blue Ridge around Galax, VA and took it down to Boone, NC and then had lunch and called it a day.

Let me know if you are interested in attending.

Just shoot me a email at dean29@triad.rr.com

I'm up that way about twice a month, in the Galax area. Don't know yet about the 18th, but maybe we can meet up sometime this spring / summer. (That is, if you don't mind driving with an old guy in a red S).

We never street race. . .

All joking aside, when we went up last time, I saw some donut marks at nearly every overlook. We simply drive and enjoy the beauty of the parkway. We may occasionally do an extra 10mph, but we are certainly not racing each other!

Thanks for the article. I didn't know there was a crackdown. I am not real concerned about it. We usually have a few sections of spirited running but for the most part it just a bunch of S2k enthusiasts going for a drive.
I usually get on the parkway at least 4 times in the spring/summer so I am sure we can hook up some time. Maybe you can make it on May 18th.

I just thought it was interesting that they confiscated the cars of the racers AND the spectators.

These guys must be racing at night or during the week. The parkway just has too many people on it for racing. We might see a long open stretch where we can speed up a bit but that is about the extent of it.

By the way was that just in the Virginia part or also in NC? I will have to take another look at the article.
