Buy.com
Buy.com is not customer oriented.
I placed and order for 3 headsets as a package on their web site.
After a 3 or 4 minute wait, the site closed. I then went to my Paypal account to see if the payment was posted. No posting there.
I gave it a few more minutes and then went to the buy.com site and placed the order. This time it went in. Just to make sure only one order was processed, I checked Paypal only to find 2 charges were made to buy.com.
I immediately canceled one order by their site. I then got an e mail form them saying it was too late to cancel as the order was placed.
Phase 2.
I called their customer support(that

Things are looking better.
I went on Google and searched buy.com complaints. I found a site that allows customers to "blow off steam"
Seems there are many people out there who are unhappy with these guys.
Anyway, the site had the e mail address of the manager of the customer service department of buy.com.
I sent him an e mail with a copy of the above and withing hours, I got a nice note with a return authorization label for UPS.
I'm sending it back but it doesn't change my mind about these people.

That sucks Lee! I just had a recent experience with prestigecamera.com.
They may have good prices, but they leave stuff out to get those prices.
Stay away!

I've never heard anything positive about Buy.com
Good to hear that someone I trust can vouch for their ill equipped care department. Don't folks get it? Customer CARE = Profits!!
