Default Caliper paint

I went to autozone and checked out the caliper paint while I was there. They had 2 kinds of caliper paint, the spray can and the other was a kit which you used a brush to apply the paint. Which one should I get? Something is telling me that the kit would be the way to go.

I think you need to take care of that oil changing situation first!! As for the calipers, it depends on if you are going to take them off the car or not. If you take them off the car then the spay can is way more convienant, but if you are going to leave them on the car which is the most efficant way then the brush method works best. tHe brush will allow you to get very detailed.

I'm going to get the spray on - dry time takes hours instead of a day. You just have to mask the car properly. The brush kit everyone likes is G2.

Is the spray-on as durable as the brush paint? Id have to guess its the same paint just different applicant or something? For some reason I would have to think the brush paint would be more durable since its probably a bit thicker - hence longer drying time?

The brush on takes longer to dry, and you still have to put on multiple coats. Most people use the G2 brush on, but proper cleaning is what makes the difference when it comes to durability.

However you choose to do it, this is a Great Mod!

I used the spray can method and my calipers look almost as good nearly 4 years later.
