Default Car problems

as to what could be wrong. The problem with my car is this. When the car is dead cold it struggles to fire up but once its been driven it will start up easier (still takes a little bit longer). It turns over fine but just has to turn over several times to fire up. Then while cold it runs fine, however as the car warms up it starts to buck/ chug in the 1k to 3.5k rpm range then runs fine in the higher rpms. I also have the problem with the car losing all power turn hard left on corners and sometimes when shifting hard going in straight line and I think these problems are related. I have posted this in the UTH forum but have had no replies yet so I am really hoping some help can come from here. I am suspicious that maybe the spark plugs are bad (55k on them now) or that my fuel pump is failing. I could use some input! Thanks!~

Sounds like two problems - weak battery and dirty intake. Both are easily fixed.

Battery is about 4 months old, so I dont think that could be the issue. But for the intake I could see that as a possible issue. Anymore possibilities let me know.

could be the MAP sensor as far the hesistation problem goes... so try a map whack and reset your ECU.

When starting your car in the cold the next time try pushing the gas half way down and try to start. If that doesn't work push the gas to the floor and start. Either way release the gas just after the car starts. Check your owner's manual for more info on this.

Good luck!

Sounds like an engine management problem. The MAP sensor could be the culprit or it could be something mechanical. Change your plugs and do the MAP whack/ECU reset first. If that doesn't help, you'll need to get some diagnostics done.

some more information to take note of and add to the list of symptoms here. I tried to get on it and go into vtec and I can hear the cams at 6k but there is NO power increase... if there is its not worth mentioning. Car is running horrible.

PS: Got some NGK plugs on the way today

It started this weekend, I think this problem is related with my car losing ALL throttle on hard left hand turns. But it started doing everything I posted in THIS post this past Saturday. I gunned it from a stoplight and midway thru VTEC the car bucked one time but as fast as it bucked it kept going. Ran fine all the way home, then the next morning i start driving and the problems appeared. I think fuel delivery is going to be the culprit, what do you all think>?
