um exuse my ignorance and spelling, but where is the autocross and when? can you just go as a spectator or do you have to pay for entry?
It'll be $30 for non members to participate, but just watching it is free. Prices have gone up a bit since I've done this, but it's an all day event.

Oh wait, according to that, Saturday is the 'school' for newcomers and rookies. I guess I'll be going to the one on Sunday... hmmm. Hell, maybe both?

Once a month, but they're rarely any closer to Charleston than this one will be. They've moved most of them to the Columbia area over the years.

Uh oh. Turns out that Saturdays event is probably going to be a lot more simplistic than I expected. On the SCR SCCA forums they were talking about how they were thinking of limiting it to drivers with 5 events experience or fewer, and I get the impression it's not a full course, just pieces of a typical course to teach technique.

I might still go to hang out, see if anyone remembers me from 4-5 years ago (or see if I remember anyone else for that matter). Also to see if any other S2000's show up I guess. There's a 70% chance of rain in the morning, but it looks like it should clear by 10-11am I think. Besides, this will give me a chance to see if I can squeeze into the service bay at the Honda dealer and have them check to see if my driver's side axle bolt is torqued down, it's making bad noises and I just had the whole thing replaced back in October.

The Sunday event is where I plan racing though, if anyone is still coming out for that.

I stopped by on Saturday and saw a few S2k's (a yellow AP1 was leaving I guess) saw another yellow ap2 and a silver ap1 but I don't know what you all look like

watched the cars go out for a while, looks like fun, I might have to participate next time.

I was the yellow AP1 leaving

I was in line for registration, had my form all filled out and was ready to pay... then I got a call from my girlfriend, who was talking about needing to go to the hospital and vomiting and chills and... etc etc.. so I had to leave and take care of her.

Sorry guys.
