Thumbs up Charlotte Group Meets

Hello CLT peeps!

At our last dinner there was a suggestion on having more social events so I thought I would throw out a couple of ideas. Please post your comments, ideas, suggestions, and such, and I will try to get a calendar of events started.

November:

Friday Nov. 12 or 19: Victory Lane Karting and Dinner
We can all race go-karts and then head into uptown CLT for dinner. Suggested time would be 7:00 for karting- allow about 1.5 hours, and then dinner around 9:00. Winner has to buy the first round. J/K This will be our chance to really see who is the best driver and deserves bragging rights!

Here is a rough estimate for go-karting:
Basic Price: $20.00/pp/8 min. session
Opt. 1 Group Price: $55.00/pp/3 sessions of 6, 8, 10 min.
Opt. 2 Group Price: $65.00/pp/3 sessions 10 min. each
Victory Lane Karting

December:

Friday Dec. 3, 10 or Thursday Dec. 2, 9: Holiday gift exchange and dinner
Meet at a restaurant for dinner and have a gift exchange. All gifts must be under $10.00 and must be car related. With this crowd I can only imagine how creative you can be!

I think Sheadlee is looking at planning another Pinehurst Brunch and drive too.

Let me know what the preferred suggested dates are and/or what other ideas you have!

Outstanding. Thank you HuskerGirl!

All these dates work for me although November 12th would be better than November 19th since I'll be traveling that day.

Good idea to offer both Thursdays & Fridays for December. All of that family Christmas stuff will be starting up around then.

Let Sheila & me know if there is anything we can do to help.

Sounds good Huskergirl! At this point in time, any of those dates work for me.

VLK is at the intersection of I-85 & I-77. They are the "real" go-karts. I've added a link to their site.

Some of us have a real weight disadvantage. We may need to score on a curve.

thx Huskergirl..

speaking of go-kart. Anyone tried the NASCAR go-kart at Concord Mills? I think you need a driver license to drive one of those so it got to be fast and fun.

I'm not a Charlotte peep but I'm a "peep" of some kind.

I'd sure like to join you guys. It just depends on the date.

Everybody is welcome. Come if you can. The more, the merrier.

Thanks Huskergirl, I just love organizers.

Nov 12 is CMP so 19th works better, but Bridow will tell you the 19th is SeatTime.

Dec 10 is my office party.
