CMP Track Weekend June 2-3
Damn, this would be nice to attend...
However I'm shopping around right now to buy a house, aaaaaaaaand I would probably need new tires. Ugh. So sadly money is in short supply for a few months
I will probably be in Charlotte that weekend anyway for my Mom's birthday. Maybe I can swing by for a few to say hey to the fellow S2k's!

Just to mention, you will need to have your car teched if you are bringing an s2000 two weeks prior to the event. The form is on their site (link in OP) and any shop can do it.
Also, be sure to complete the medical and helmet release forms.
Just FYI, NASA is doing CMP May 19th-20th. 279 for both days, includes instructor if you want one. 3 hours of track time, plus classroom, plus being able to watch actual racing is neat. Mustang club is okay, but NASA is a bit better. Depends which weekend works better for you.
I did NASA Roebling last month. Traffic wasn't too bad. I ran HPDE2 mostly. There were 2 slow cars in HPDE1 but they learned to get out of the way.
CMP is longer. I usually just stage near the back of the pack, then do 2 laps at a slow pace, and then i've got the track all to myself.
The cars in HPDE1 and 2 are usually slower than an s2000, so it all comes down to driver skill/balls/etc.
I still run SeatTime, and used to run Chin Motorsports and a few smaller groups. But now I'm going to primarily run NASA now so that when I get Solo cert, it's valid for SCCA use as well.

I don't know if they do them anymore but import motor werks (http://www.importmotorwerks.com/) used to do free safety inspections for track days, but I can't seem to find it on their site anymore. Might be worth giving them a call.
Dont know if anyone else has signed up for Trackdaze's VIR event on the 9th, but I'll be there with my ITR.
And thumbs up to Perf Chassis. Andrew has seen me a number of times over the past couple months for alignments while I was doing suspension work on the R.
