Default Coilover install

Anyone have any shops they trust to do coilover installs? Even body work in general (i.e. fender rolling)? Preferably in the Myrtle Beach/Florence SC area.

I was also thinking of a DIY. I have done a few mods to my motorcycle and am decent with a wrench and instructions. How hard is a coilover install on a scale from 1-10 (with 10 being the hardest)?

Thanks.

You can do it. It's not bad at all. You will need a spring compressor though. If you feel like driving down to Charleston I will be happy to let you borrow mine and give you a hand with the install.

With coilovers you should not need a spring compressor since you have to set pre-load anyway. I would also recomend getting your car corner balance at the same time you do the install, makes life easier.

Given I have not done the S2k yet. But I had to compress the stock springs on other cars I've done to get them out. Is this not needed with the s2k?

if your installing just springs a spring compressor is helpful but not necessary. Coilovers do not need it due to replacing the entire shock assembly.
