I just had a 30min conversation with a police officer about the ap1 s2000, and how he used to have one back in collage. It was pretty cool I walked in to the gas station because my car wouldn't read at the pump and we just started talking. Hhe mentioned how he had an ap1 and how it was the best car he had ever owned. I would go into it more but its 2:30, I'm tired all tell the rest tomorrow.

 

People would be surprised how many law enforcement officers are gearheads.

 

...and how many of 'em are ANYTHING but that...

cops vs troopers from my pov

Cops join a police force, try to prevent crime, may get stuck with traffic duty. In general, they want to protect and are decent people.

Troopers are glorified meter maids sent out to catch speeders on the roads and do crowd control at sporting events. In general, they're jerks.

 

i'm gonna have to disagree slightly...

the cops around here are guys that used to work at freeman's, do lawn care, or some other random job. being a cop was just something different to try. they are for the most part bumbling idiots who couldn't sniff out a crime if it was happening right in front of them.

troopers, on the other hand, have to go through a lot of training. they have to do all the training that regular cops do, plus a state trooper boot camp. yeah, a lot of them are jerks, but doing their job, who wouldn't be? they hear more bullsh1t on a daily basis than probably anyone in any line of work, they risk their lives every time they pull someone over...i would venture a guess that they are in danger a lot more often than your typical local cop.
