Signed up for the Fall Run. Thinking that I SHOULD be able to make this one. Obligations of life hindered my going to this past one. Who else is gonna go?

That stinks!

Over the next week I will need to re-assess if I can actually do this as custody of my son is changing so that might completely impact my ability to go. So, fingers crossed!

Pinky, hope you can go. I was planning to find out if you're still doing tops. If you are my daughter and I both will need new tops shortly.

I absolutely am still doing them. Just hit me up in a DM to work out details and arrangements.

Not sure if I will be able to make this event. I still have a couple more things to look at and then figure out accommodations for myself if I am going to go.

After this past weekend ........... I think I might see if someone has a cabin that they rented and if I can just sleep in their back yard! Just need to use the facilities and maybe make some food. Hammock camping is pretty damn cool I must say.

Best info I have is that Cherohala Skyway is closed on the Tennessee end due to washouts from recent storms. At least one repair site is not scheduled to reopen until September 30. There is no detour that will get around this closure. It may be possible to start at Robbinsville, drive to the TN closure, then turn around and go back, but no guarantee that the Skyway is open at all. If you want Tellico Grains it's either out and back or loop south and back up through Murphy.

Also, the bridge at Bald River Falls is being renovated. A detour is being constructed around the existing bridge, but it sounds like this is not the best environment for an S2k for the next year+.

New pavement on Foothills is great, but they have lowered the speed limit to 45. Not that this will affect most of us! I have not seen increased enforcement. The Great Smoky Mountains parking tag regs apply on Foothills if you stop for more than 15 minutes. I suspect enforcement is concentrated in the Park proper, but you might want to get a tag if you plan on stargazing. Tags are supposedly available online and are not transferable between vehicles.

As my brother complains, this is the summer of everything breaking or otherwise screwing up!

Hi guys,
Quick question: Where will everyone be staying? I know that there is a lodge around 5-10 minutes from the tail, will anyone be staying there? This will be my second time there and my first time staying overnight. Also, are there any specific events/meets that I should know about, or is it just going to be packed with S2000s the entire time from the 7th to the 10th? Sorry for any stupid questions.
